"helo, you have lovely board. keep up good work!"

Kidding, kidding!

Seriously, I am one of the 1e100 defender-types snagging a forum account since that's the new way of doing business around here, or something. Seeing as I've only been awake for an hour or so, I have nothing nifty to say at the moment.

Yeah, "helo, you have lovely board. keep up good work!" is almost word for word for what we get from some of the more "sneakier" spammers. It's so generic and tries to sound human it comes off as wrong, and they tend to fill out everything in the Profile page. Humans tend to do what is requested of them or the absolutely minimum, or even less.

Apparently it is the new way, just Pete gave us a head's up. I had no clue why so many new people were signing up for the first couple of days. Didn't know that the Pledge thingy required a forum account. Thought it was using previous Defender's accounts and was only for previous/current Defenders.

I've found that being awake for an hour or twelve doesn't make much difference. Life never makes much sense no matter how much you try.

Anyway, a lot of new people signed up recently, so I will have to keep this short (and amazingly identical). There used to be Pesterers to pester you for poetry, but who knows if that will happen. Even though you may not be pestered, if you do post an original poem--usually haiku but any (clean) type is accepted--written by you, you may also receive a gift in return. The "gift" may be useless or fatal, but it's a surprise. Lastly, the pestering is the tradition here, not the poetry.

Now go forth and mingle!
