It's called the herd instinct. Weaker, or in this case slower, creatures often band together so that they might have a chance against the stronger, or in this case faster, species. This makes it more difficult for the faster species to procure a meal, such as when they have to slam on the brakes and end up losing all of their french fries.

The fact that in spite of all but six counties are in burn bans and we're doing our best to catch up with Colorado (we're just lucky that the wind hasn't been worse or we would have fires every bit as big here in Arkansas) that people are still being stupid and setting off fireworks. Of course there's always the comforting thought that if they get caught that it's an $1,100 fine per firework shot off.

So, how long have you hated freedom, LobosSolos?
