Apparently I complained enough, because I totally got a snow day today.

That doesn't annoy me, but it might annoy some of you.

I have some homework I need to do so I went into school to make use of the tutoring center, but every last computer was taken so I had to leave. I went to a local LAN cafe where I could play an hour or two of Left4Dead while I wait for the tutoring center at school to become available and possibly grab a grilled cheese while I'm there since I'm starting to get hungry. Unfortunately, the LAN cafe was closed for the day. Still hungry, I drove to a local McDonalds where I could presumably get some food. I got distracted and drove off without my Soda.

The stairs that lead up to my current place of residence are quite long. I don't mean the series but rather each individual stair. The kind where it takes two steps to get to the next riser. It makes me feel like I have a freaking limp every time I come or go.

I am on call for the propane company I work for this weekend. I get 2 calls for "no gas pressure" in one of the trailer parks we supply. Each tank supplies between 4-6 trailers, each of which have a meter and shut off valve. Upon arrival at the tank in question I see that it has been turned off, cutting the supply to 4 trailers. I began knocking on doors to explain the issue and re-light everyones pilot lights. The first house has broken pieces of gas pipe in the front yard so I deduced that they might be the culprit who turned off the tank. I knock on the door and am greeted by a rather large individual who explains to me that he doesn't need the gas company on his property, that he has handled the problem and turned off his tank so I can get off his property. I explained that it was our tank and that he had shut off the entire street's gas and that if he touched the tank again I would be calling the police. I shut his gas off at his meter, turned the tank back on, and proceeded to light everyone else's pilot lights so they could have heat. Then I took pictures of the tank and the damage he had done at which point he came out and started talking tough and when I explained that I was just doing my job he accused me of colluding with his neighbors against him, being friends with his neighbor and being out at the park visiting him and that I wasn't working and didn't have the authority to touch his property, and having smelled alcohol on my breath. It's not enough that the dumbass shuts off the tank and all his neighbors, makes me get out of bed to go fix his stupidity which took almost 3 hours, but them on top of it all he starts threatening me. I am a fairly calm individual but I was closer to violence tonight than I have been in years.

All the yankees, pardon me northerners, who come down here to the south and then don't understand why everything shuts down for one to two feet of snow. This is the south, we don't get snow often enough to make the equipment economically necessary. Also we don't get snow often enough or long enough that waiting for it to melt is unreasonable.

Also related to this, every time the weathermen/weatherwomen say we may be getting snow in the state (even if it's only one section) everyone goes into a panic and proceeds to buy out the grocery stores. The worst sections being milk, bread and eggs. I swear, it's like they think, "OK, I'm going to be stuck in my house. I guess I'll make french toast."

My current annoyance is my new-found craving for French Toast though, due to my French sister-in-law's influence, I call it lost bread.

TVTropes. I'm supposed to be doing a research assignment right now but instead my entire day has been one long wikiwalk.

Don't you know that TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life?

Why do you think we started it in the first place? It's to make sure everyone's preoccupied when the invasion comes.

End of Line.

I'm sorry, what? I'm too busy reading about the Venture Brothers right now to closely pay attention to what you just said.
