Think Geek's Ada Lovelace and Marie Curie T-shirts money from every sale goes to The Girl Effect, an organisation dedicated to helping girls out of the cycle of abuse, poverty and second-class citizenship.

This may seem a bit promotion based but I get nothing from sharing it and honestly think that they are awesome.

While sick I discovered the Warren Ellis, of Nextwave and Transmetropolitan fame, has been busy creating a comic based loosely on the work of John Whyndam. Genius stuff that can be read at FreakAngels.

At the risk of my Warren Ellis fanboy status increasing I'll second that recommendation but warn that it does contain 'bad' language and a fair amount of blood and violence.

Cool Effing stuff, man.

Hah, Firefox doesn't think "Effing" is a misspelling. It is a word.

My brother's impro troup's next show is called Untopia and while most of you can't come to see it, if you have twitter you can follow the promo page.
It has enough of a similarity to 4U that some of you may get a kick out of it.

Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame (as if I needed to say that on these boards) singing I Will Survive as Gollum. Pure epicness.

Rather than link to another forum I'm just going to bend the rules a bit (I'm a mod, what are you going to do?) and directly link this image here. Meet ...The X-Men (as done by Futarama)!

It's hard to pick out the best bit! Hermes Bishop? Jamie Nibbler Maddrox? Zap Magneto? Satan Sinister? Mom Frost? Remy Scruffy? Or Leela's Mom/Callisto with one eye and Cal's eye patch?

I like that HedonismBot didn't dress up, but is still watching in amusement.

"Dressing up as fictional characters and participating in faux combat? How delightfully absurd! Jhombi, move me closer."

Actually, he's Mojo (you can see his tail behind Spiral). There just wasn't much dressing up needed.

Who's Nixon supposed to be? (Apocalypse? Master Mold?) Also, Zap Brannigan as Magneto makes no sense at all.
