Out of curiosity, how many Sluggites actually watch new TV? Personally I never do anymore, since I don't really like the waiting for another episode to air, or for new seasons to come out half a year from the last episode. Recently I binge-watched the entirety of Battlestar Galactica (for the fifth time, I think I have a problem) and I'm trying to decide what series to sell my soul to next. Any ideas? What are your favorite shows that have run their course and are complete?

I've had Danny Phantom and Invader Zim running in my second monitor while I play video games on the first one. Such good shows...

M*A*S*H is always good and is on Netflix, all eleven seasons (there's also a separate movie that was made a few years before, the only series regular that made the jump from the movie to the show was Gary Burghof aka Radar).

Sam and Max. A wonderful and slightly terrifying ode to the nineties, cleverly hidden in a childrens' show.

The Rocky and Bullwinkle show, or The Twilight Zone (the original series). A bit more modern, perhaps Night Court.

Well, a couple of friends of mine just sold me on Sword Art Online, sadly. The one new show I will watch. Also, recently been on a sci-fi kick and decided to resume watching Farscape from where I left off.

And yeah, I don't watch any new TV besides NCIS, and Once Upon A Time. My having no cable at homes sure helps :bert:

I just got through a FIRST viewing of Buffy/Angel. Currently in a first viewing of Alias.

I try to get into newer TV. This season of Fargo was excellent and I'm totally into Better Call Saul, OITNB, GoT, and looking forward to the Twin Peaks revival, not to mention the new Star Trek series.

But currently there's more great TV I've missed than great TV currently on.

It's just so fun being into a show that's coming out week to week.

Stop watching after you finish the first half of season one.

Really. It stunt-jumps a whole shark tank on a flaming motorcycle after that.

The thing I recommend to everybody is Avatar: The Last Airbender. First season has a bit of filler in it but it really picks up in seasons 2 and 3.

SAO really does take a nose dive in quality after the Aincrad arc is over.

Did you watch Legend of Korra, Kea?

Yep, I watched Legend of Korra. It was a bit more uneven in quality than the original Avatar, but still good.

One of the most underrated shows of recent years was "United States of Tara," a dramedy about a woman with multiple personalities. It had an unbelievable stellar cast (Toni Collette, Patton Oswalt, Brie Larson, John Corbett, Viola Davis), three very different seasons with complete story arcs, and only lasted three seasons in total. Some of the best television I've ever watched --hilarious, chilling and heartfelt by turns.

I also can't say enough good things about "I Claudius," also with a stellar cast, including a much younger Patrick Stewart. There would never have been a "Game of Thrones" without this ripped-from-the-pages-of-history soap opera.

I've been rewatching Futurama. I'm in love with this series, the characters and the nerd in-jokes. :kiki:

I binge watched How I Met Your Mother in the span of like 2 weeks. it really is amazing just HOW MANY continuity nods are through the entire series and how they knew exactly how the story was supposed to go for the whole thing.

I also binged Scrubs, and found the secret last season, which wasn't half bad. if it wasn't labeled "scrubs" it could have stood on its own, but brand fatigue kinda killed the reboot.

It's not an old show but I found a copy of Starfox 64 while cleaning out my old bedroom at my mother's house for my nephew to use and I've been playing it on and off all day.
