Haven't been to see it yet because I hate crowds, but from everything I'm hearing it's doing very well. Anyone been to see it yet? Take care, no spoilers.

Er MAH GERD!!! This movie! It was all I hoped it could be. Even the cinematography felt more like the originals. Loved it, must see it again soon!

Haven't seen it myself, but Kevin J. Anderson, author of several Star Wars books, was impressed.

*Weeps*
It's no Empire Strikes Back, but it needs to be seen.

I've seen it. I loved it, except for one part. I think J.J. Abrams is much better suited for Star Wars than he is Star Trek. (I don't think he views them as all that different, which is a shame)
People booed when the Star Trek Beyond trailer played. The Trek/Wars divide is still alive and strong in our society!

the crowd was on its feet cheering at the end of the movie. It's been a LONG time since that's happened to me. I think the last time was probably the end of Harry Potter 8.

I saw it and while it was OK, I was not really that impressed. I'm figuring that it has to do with the fact that I was invested in the Extended Universe for a long time. Also, I'm apparently not a huge fan of J.J. Abrams.

I saw it on the same day that I marathoned Episodes 5 and 6 (having previously seen 4). It was entertaining, but I felt like I watched the same movie 3 times. I mean, the rehash of the old plot elements was obviously intentional, but since I lack the childhood nostalgia for the series, it didn't have the desired effect on me.
I do like the new characters, Finn and Rey though.

Saw it, and as a long-time fan absolutely hated the second half. For one reason: Kylo "I'm-so-emo-PLEASE-take-me-seriously" Ren. I hated his character ever since the fifth or sixth scene with him, and it ruined the entire film for me.

I loved BB-8 and Maz, I also loved the interactions between Rey and Han and Leia.
