Inspiration was winning after the first round. She scored points when she was the dasher. In most Balderdash variants, that alone is enough to win the contest... though this last round did kind of cement her place a bit.

Jorodryn also pulled that off. But her luring in so many false guesses is the real clincher.

You know, I had thought my lyric was pretty good this last round --at least I got one taker! :sasha:

Jorodryn wrote:My next question is why doesn't inspy write songs?

I've wondered that too. I bullied her into writing me a set of lyrics in one of these other threads --I just need to follow through and set them to music...

insp wrote:*embarrassed* I did take, like, three times as long as anyone else to write mine! *slinks away*

Oh insp, enough of this modesty nonsense! :torg:

On the other hand, you did hold up our game for at least a week! :kzk:

KITOBA THAT IS THE GREATEST THING EVER

Your music has such great atmosphere and I love your voice! I can't even believe those are my lyrics--they sound so cool!

YOU ARE THE BEST. FOR REALS THE BEST.

(Feel free to make it public, and you can credit it under my real name "Elizabeth Gallenberg." Would you mind if I linked it on my Facebook if you make it public?)

Thanks, insp! I'm so glad you liked it. I think I'm going to rerecord it before making it public however --I pretty much messed up the bridge section.

You're welcome to post it on your Facebook --as long as you promise me we can do some more songwriting together! :sasha:

I'm waiting on entries from two people. I shall poke them henceforth to see if we can't get the ball rolling here :)

And double post, cuz ladies and gentlemen, we've got lyrics :)

Cigarettes and coffee
Broken hearts and being lonely

1) Shattered dreams and wasted time
What's a man supposed to do

2) Alcohol and toffee,
Who cares for being lonely?

3) I've played the dunce at love
So stand me in the corner

4) Bourbon for breakfast
Cause she should'a been my one and only

5) Red wine nights and red eye mornings
Don't you want it all, all, all

6) I don't know all you left me,
It's nothing to what you took

7) Little girls and ponies
Things that go together

8) I've got to get out of here
And find someone to hold me

I like this one

Ah ha! Now I know that --unless you're just desperate for approval --you didn't write that one, and that... um... doesn't really help me much at all...

:sam:

Plus, now people know I didn't write that one either...

:kzk:

Unless I'm just being extra super sneaky!

Apologies. Somehow, I seemed to have failed to notice the lyrics. Sent in my guess now...
