Great, now we've got to rewash the thread. You always dry the thread, otherwise when it dries on its own it develops those streaks.

Man, it isn't just Random Silliness that's dying. The entire WGARS forum seems to be dying. 5 days without a post to any thread?!
POOF! *Returns to Relative Obscurity, with a sigh*

int LogFile::writeBuffer() { if ( !isOkay() ) return FILE_NOT_OKAY;
Lock lock(_safeMutex);
// look away children _out.writeBuffer(&_buf); _buf.clear(); }
*ahem* my buffers are now clear. Inundate me with silliness.

Don't you need a return statement? You declared the function as an int after all... I was going to try and reply with a obscure sounding compiler error, but I haven't programmed in a while and couldn't come up with anything. Incidentally, I came across a page of funny errors used by an an Apple compiler here.Also, we could all use an inundation of silliness. WGARS has been terribly slow for, well, a while. ______________ Some people would say that my previous post was the true milestone, but I disagree. Post 1,777 baby! Hooray sevens!! Quote: "a typedef name was a complete surprise to me at this point in your program" Nice. Quote: "Call me paranoid but finding `/*' inside this comment makes me suspicious" A brilliant error message. (And yes, I'd be suspicious too).

IRON MAN
he's practically Batman without the crippling personal issues (while the lack of that cheapens the character, it makes me happier to not have them)
just saw this thread, don't know what's going on here but wanted to post.
