Would there be a thread devoted to it if there wasn't?

Heh, Hex is probably never gonna want to go to the beach again if this stuff keeps happening. :)

Oh, this isn't the case to develop a beach phobia from. No, that one's still coming up.

If I run through a scene a bit too fast, feel free to point out where your character would have done something and I'll rewind to that point if necessary. I just don't want to get too bogged down waiting for reactions at any time that they are vaguely possible.

What are Avery and Ding doing? Even if they're just sitting and watching Dim Sun snore...

Are any of the toys capable of being self-ambulatory? (i.e. not attached to bases?)

All the toys have bases. The bases are often decorative in their own ways - the replacement nightingale, for instance, is standing on a base that looks like a small brass branch is growing out of it - but the bases are nonetheless present. This suggests that Su Lin may need the extra space to fit the required clockwork in.

Or maybe she just likes building things so that they are unlikely to fall over.

A few of the toys can move about somewhat on their base, though (the feet in little grooves that slide back and forth).

Do you know, I just now realised I should have been doing this slightly differently, using the mental Composure track? The tools are there, part of the system, I should use them...

I'll edit my last post to start taking the effect on Composure into account.

...and done. There's a pretty good chance that Hex, at least, will start taking consequences in fairly short order.

I think this counts as accepting a compel of Kip's "Danger? Pshaw!" aspect (despite the fact that the compel hadn't been offered...)

So Kip gains a Fate point, to be used as he likes.

Yeah, I thought that's what Kip would do, even if the compel wasn't offered. Though now he's FREAKING OUT! : )

Assuming Buck's right, that probably would not be a good idea. :)

So, um... you know who, you know how, you know why. What are you going to do to bring Su Lin to justice?
