...I honestly expected Su Lin to last a bit longer before breaking down. At least long enough to get to the Emporer's room under her own power.

She had really cruddy rolls, compared to our good ones, so I'm not surprised she broke early.

Incidentally, the place is called Fatty's, and it's down this little ally in the international marketplace on Oahu. Seriously, the best Chinese I've ever had, made fresh and in vast amounts right in front of you, for dirt cheap. The place is awesome.

If there's no dissenting opinions, then New Amsterdam: Holiday in Hawaii will start on Monday.

Okay, because I am an idiot, I accidentally posted New Amsterdam: Holiday in Hawaii in FRPG instead of in GRPG. If one of the FRPG mods could move it, I would be most happy.

Done. I didn't want to sticky/unsticky your other threads. I'll let you do as you wish now that it is in the right place.

Buck has been to Hawaii before, that's been established. So would it be possible to tag his "Toured the world" aspect so that he can spout some obscure local knowlage that I happen to know?

That falls under Declaration of Details. Anyone may declare details at any point at the cost of a Fate point - I do have a veto, but if the details being declared are interesting and make the game more fun, I won't use it. If it's borderline, there may be a roll involved.

If the details are just local colour, then it won't cost a Fate point; if they're relevant to the situation, then it will.

Buck's "Toured the world" aspect does give him little a bit more leeway when it comes to declaring details about Hawaii than the others would have; but anyone can still declare details.

Just a bit of local history actually. The ancient Hawaiians used to cross lava flows by wrapping their feet in multiple layers of banana leaves. I figure that Buck will recommend a similar strategy for crossing the coals.

No Fate point necessary to come up with that piece of history.

Very interesting... but a bit painful if one gets it wrong, I imagine.

That's why you use alot of banana leaves, and wait ten minutes for the lava to solidify enough to walk on.

If Balthazar is willing to spend a Fate point, then Buck will suddenly recall that he has met this tribe before, and some useful information about them. If not, then he will eventually conclude that he has not met them before.

If Hex can be given a minute or so worth of total distraction (as in none of the tribesmice are even looking anywhere near to him), he can use his Master of Illusion stunt to make Gadget looks like she's vanished.

None of the tribesmice appear to have spotted either Gadget or Lawhinie yet.

This game seems to have come to a near-stop. I'm considering a time-skip, jumping forward to the first on-screen appearance of the Time Machine (you know it's coming...). Would those players who are still present and interested please indicate whether they are in favour of this idea?
