They won't tell him much either, even though he has their marriage certificate. This. Sucks. Hard.

I am angry and saddened for your friend. Unbelievable. That's not an annoyance, that's a tragedy.

Ok new annoyance... got to work today, found out the ex had made everything up, coworker is fine, just has some stuff going on. This after I spent all night tossing and turning worrying. This is NOT my happy face.

...

I'd have punched someone halfway across the Ohio river. That is not something you lie about.

Halfway across the Ohio river is an oddly specific distance from Colorado.

Yeah, we're all pretty pissed at the ex... our guess is he was told to make something up to disguise the real reason and he went WAY too far.

That just sounds pretty messed up... I suppose your friend's ex-husband is an ex for a reason.

My current annoyance is marking term papers. The good and the bad papers are easy to grade, it's the middling ones that give you grief. The ones that are so average and predictable in every way that I want to fail them just for being so goddamn boring, but that would be wrong. I end up wracking my brains for ages because I'm supposed to give written feedback and yet can think of nothing whatsoever to say. Even worse are the ones where there is something not quite right with the logic, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I have to spend ages trying to figure out what about it is bugging me.

This stupid disorder making me nauseous and causing near crippling pain over absolutely nothing. I could understand if it had any kind of constant aside from reacting to hormone fluctuations, but it doesn't matter what I eat or drink. It rears it's ridiculously ugly head whenever it darn well feels like.

People who never look at their spam folders. Particularly when these people send you 'Why aren't you responding to me?' emails.

Trying to find a means to get over my fear of flying before my major trip overseas. Finding out that I may have latant mental issues contributing to that fear -- "It isn't the fear, it's something else manifesting as the fear". Realizing, through careful analysis, that this is probably true.

Awesome.

I've been trying to download a game I've already paid for, but my internet is so bad right now that the download itself usually stops mid to three-fourths of the way through, halting all progress and forcing me to start all over again. This process has repeated itself over and over for the past four days now.

Personally, I'd be fearful too if I was going to travel over a major body of water by broomstick. They're fine over land, but for a journey of that distance you'll need to refuel partway and I doubt there's anyplace halfway across an ocean that's got spare magic to refuel a broomstick with...

You know what? It mght be better just to go by plane, and take the broomstick along for emergencies. Unless magic interacts badly with technology, in which case taking the broomstick along would cause the emergency...

On a more serious note, if you have a problem with airsickness, try ginger. I have it on good authority that it helps. A bit. And enjoy your holiday.
