Is that Sasha?

Postby OrzBrain » Fri Apr 13, 2012 10:23 am

Noah Zark's new girlfriend works from Crushestro just like Sasha is pretending to do, and she's about the right size and is wearing concealing eye-equipment. What d'ya think?

Man, I'm getting all fuzzy about the old details, even though I read over less than the last year.. But you may very well be on to something!

Would love for Sasha to do a more permanent comeback, I feel that Pete wouldn't have taken her back for the 4U arc, and made Riff ally hinting about her, for no reason!

It'd be a better development than what I was thinking (Sasha having had a meeting with squid-on-a-stick).

I didn't think she looked anything like Sasha but Torg's comment today about having her spy on his allies makes it seem a lot more likely.

I don't think Sasha would be very good at subterfuge, though, since she doesn't understand how to have "normal reactions" to things. As a random undercover employee, yes. As a flashy ninja Suzette replacement, no.

To be fair, Kusari's main method of subterfuge is "stand around quietly in a gaudy outfit, say nothing to anybody, wait until the opportune moment and then kill everything."

She doesn't really need to have good people skills for that. Being a double agent? I... wouldn't see anyone trusting that that to Kusari.

Sorry for the double post, but just musing about how with today's strip we know for sure that Teresa is not, in fact, Sasha.

Or do we..?

Crazy spec! What if, my comrades, with the use of drugs and other such things Montecruel somehow brainwashed Sasha into her own double agent "Teresa," then used her to do what Torg wanted Sasha to do in the first place but for her own side?

Of course, that would require the vid of Sasha to be from a long time ago... which is very possible, given that it's a recording.

<gasp!>

Have we seen Teresa's hair color, yet? And what's with the neckerchief? Covering a scar?

...

Just kidding, of course. I hope the team would have recognized her, even with different clothes and personality.

Is the parallel a Freudian slip? Is Pete into Kung Fu Pippi Longstocking? (At least Suzette didn't wear pigtails.) :oasis:

I don't know what her game would be, or who she'd truly be working for, but I keep seeing Isabella in Teresa's facial features. The hair is obviously different, and the nose isn't right, and you would think Riff would recognize her regardless, but:

  1. Hair is easily changed.
  2. Noses are less easily changed, but might be warranted if working undercover for HC, or going into hiding (if she's betrayed HC).
  3. We've already seen the lack of male awareness of physical differences in women in the Sluggyverse.

The newspaper by Sasha's face is called "today's", so either that's not Sasha or this was set up long ago with a blank paper mapped with "today's paper".
