Pete got a virus... then his daughter Leah drew the cast as cats... uploaded it to the site... then got the virus...

There's only one possible conclusion, of course. Leah caught a virus from Pete's computer!

(On a more serious note, get well soon!)

Get plenty of rest, and defeat those germs; remember, they might have the advantage of numbers, but you outweigh them.

Get well soon, Pete (and Leah). Geez--- she was only two when I started reading the strip, and now she's doing filler art!

Pete,
Our best wishes for your speedy recovery. I've had pneumonia, so I know what it's like. Take care of yourself and your family first and foremost. We can wait, and keep you in our prayers.

Get well soon. Wishing you a רפואה שלמה - (that's "refuah shelema" - Hebrew for a complete recovery.) May you be completely and speedily healed.

Don't worry about the comic. We understand. As much as I want to know where the story goes next, your health is more important. And when you're healed, rested and ready to write/draw more, we'll all be here waiting for you.

And I love the sketches of the Sluggy crew as cats. I think you should use them somehow. Maybe a parallel universe, or a dream sequence or something. They're just too cute!

Pete, take it easy, mate. Rest up and recover completely.

Squash that :kzk: with your inner :bunbun:. We don't want you looking like :sam:. Soon enough, everything will be :kiki:.

Only one more thing to say. :bert: Crotch!

If you've had proper pneumonia you might take up to six weeks to fully recover Pete, so don't push yourself.

On a more serious note if Leah has similar symptoms I'd get her checked out (if you haven't already)

Godspeed, Abrams family! For without your witty and adventurous storytelling I very well may not be the man I am today. I'm serious, dude. You're an inspiration.

And I too remember when Leah was born... I was a kid too then so it doesn't make me feel as old as some of these other gents, but it still gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

Pete, really you should take a few more days. Perhaps even a week. I think it's a mistake to start up again this soon.
