Hmmm. I've never played Skyward Sword, but after looking it up on the internet, yes, I can see the resemblance. They both give the "Dark Is Not Evil" trope a workout.

That said, I'm not done with M.U.S.E. So if KK continues to run, I'd imagine he'll still be there. If KK -doesn't- continue, then I'm certain he'll turn up somewhere down the line in some other game... After all, out of all of the KK characters he's probably the most world-travelling.

So, from what everything is looking like I may have the RP sign ups launching this weekend. Less something happens to pre-occupy my time that is. But the wifey has an OT shift on Saturday so I'll be being nothing but cleaning and writing.

I've heard some good character ideas so far, but for those of you who are stuck you'll be learning the rules, lore, and restrictions of this world very shortly and I'm sure it will help!

Quick Leyline update!

I over-complexed a base system so I'm scaling it back as we speak and if I can, getting the RP thread up today. Depending on how long it takes me to do so, expect a delay of 2-3 days since the work week is coming.

Either case I'll have some more information on my progress tonight!

I'd recommend Rue. That way, whenever Ruan's character is slighted s/he can go "You shall Rue this day!" in a pompous, overblown voice.

It is TIME.

I've gotten enough of the skeletal work done to start the RP sign up thread and flesh everything else out around it as we go. I am about to launch the RP sign up thread, so here's how it will go:

I will post as Athena, your Arbiter teacher. You will post as a holographic blank connection, entering and leaving the class as you will and asking the questions you will need to ask to be able to build your character. So basically, I'll be building your world as you build your Gods. You may ask whatever question you like, however please roll play it. Try and do it in the voice of the character you are thinking of making (if any thus far).

If you have a question that cannot be asked in character such as, "When will you update?" please ask it here. As for when I update... when its pure RP, I might be able to do a bit nightly, but as it gets heavier and I get busier, I will guarantee at least a weekly post, if not twice a week.

So here are the rules:

1) Anyone who is interested may enter the RP sign up thread and RP with me, there is no limit.

2) At the end of it, know that only 7 characters will be chosen.

3) Know I will not be cherry picking my friends, you need to write me a damned good concept to make the cut.

4) Please do not speak out of character in the thread, do so here.

5) Please do not identify yourself in the thread or describe yourself, you are meant to be totally anonymous.

6) When I answer your questions, I will be addressing you by a code name (which will happen to be your forum name).

7) If there is any question you wish to ask you don't want others to see, feel free to PM me. (This can be either RP or OOC if you wish)

8) This is for fun! This is also to help me make a system you all will help me create, as well as shake off any RP cobwebs you may have (I know I will be).


By the time this thread is done, you will know all you need to know about to game to create a character. At that time I will be posting an "Arbiter Application" here as well as a summary of everything that was covered for any late joiners. Once I choose my 7 players, the game will begin. I'm hoping to have the sign ups wrapped up in 2 weeks time at most, if not sooner. If I get in a good mood for it, prepare for some rapid fire Q/A sessions with Athena. Note that my previously mentioned posting schedule will not apply to the sign up thread - I'm going to be posting nightly, if not multiple times a day. If I feel it going too slow, I will speed things up.
