The Fifteen Years of Sluggy *

On the Saturday of Sluggy, the stalker gave to Pete:

Fifteen Slo-Mo Replays
Fourteen Freaky Kitties
Thirteen Trains a Dooming
Twelve Undead Drummers
Eleven Ferrets Dancing
Ten Portal Splicings
Nine Eyeball Stabbings
Eight Naked Camels
Seven Demon Muffins
Six Sticks a Plotting
Fiiiiiive Eat-en Boooooooks
Four Ships a Parked
Three Drunk Friends
Two Sleepless Nights
and A Nerd-Boy with a Sooooooock-Loooooooooop!

And to think, all that Sunday got Pete was some Satan Spam...

* sung to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas

It's actually the the socklop puppet. What I'm wondering is what number Corsica that was that apparently died in the competition.

Congrats on 15 years of nifty darn comics Pete! I was hoping for an in-continuity strip, but this will do. Corsica and the sock-lop were a nice touch.

edit: Silly me. The reason the strip is out of continuity is because it's Saturday. So never mind then.

Darn, 15 years. 15 years of solid gold. I started reading on August 10, 2005 because the webcomic GPF sent me here since Gwynn was the cousin of Trudy. And I have come to this site religiously every day since then.

I am going to pretend that the Corsia here is #3, since because why not, its third place. Extra crispy deep fried Corsica.

I like how Socklop is here, a nice little throwback to the first anniversary.

Kiki was robbed! Socklop was doping with alfalfa! ;)

Thanks for keeping us entertained for 15 years, Pete! :kiki:

P.S. I'm still mad at you about Sasha. Just sayin'.

Apparently sometime in the last hour and a half, the site went down! I can't see it. The horror, the horror!

NVM, looks like a problem with our ISP. Gut around it, and
Mwahahahahahahaa, also, I didn't know Mr. Socklop was canadian.

Hey, sincerest congratulations, Mr. Abrams! I haven't been reading long, but perusing the archives over and over, I've constantly marveled at how the comic evolved from a comedy thriving on pop-culture parody to a brilliantly written, beautifully drawn action/comedy/drama. And while comedy is still king, the action is on par with Golden-Age Marvel and the drama can be absolutely heart-wrenching.

Deepest respect and compliments.

I tossed up a bit of fan art on the 'Fan Art for Pete' forum in 'Sluggy Related Chat,' but it's a continuation of my previous art. I want to sit down and draw something more 15th Anniversary specific, which I'll post here when I get the time.

Anyway, here's to fifteen years of all-around niftyness!

First Sasha, now a key mistake by Kiki and Mr. Socklop turns out to be Canadian? How many plot twists are there going to be in this month?

Congratulations to the author. When Sluggy Freelance started out, it was one of the things that defined webcomics and showed their real potential. Over the last decade the world has changed and expanded, but it continues to be one of the more solid works, very rewarding if you can invest the time. There are not too many that can claim that kind of run.

Oh my God, 15 years. I think I first started reading the comics in 1999 or 2000? My brother had discovered Sluggy and got me into it. Sluggy, you've followed me through the last half of high school, all through college, including a semester abroad and a hellish senior year, and this crazy ride known as my 20s. Thank you.
