Even if we don't use my "generations" idea in the nostalgia thread, I thought it might be interesting to do a spin-off thread where we select some landmarks in board history, maybe make a timeline.

Aside from the night of the great hacking, There was the short lived "Flame wars" during the elections when friends turned on one another and politics got reeeeal nasty... IFRC, there was actually a rare banning.

The very first werewolves thread. The one Sor started in WGARS.

I remeber that.. I think, That was the one where we ganged up on Werewombat in the beggining cause of his name.

Hasn't there been more than one hacking? I seem to recall Sluggy.net getting graffitied all over, but maybe that was the scriptkiddie's doing. I'm not sure.

The Age of Filks come to mind. Llefser's "Pirates of SLUGzance" and Squeakymewmew's "Sluggy Freelance and The Padlock of DOOM!".

(I'd like to nominate the Non-Fanficcy sluggite story, but of course, I'm really biased about that thread. I'd feel better if somebody else who agrees with me nominated it. :-)

We recently had the Attack of the Disturbing Arse Picture, but that lasted about 15 minutes and I don't think many people witnessed it.

Well fine, if you wanna be logical about this sort of thing... :-P

Does anybody remember the writing of the Book of Sluggy? That was hilarious. It must have been about the time I joined the Sluggy.net.

The whole SLuggy Cult thing defiantly should be mentioned.. that was awesome.

How about the Death of Random Silliness? (we used to have random silliness weekly. Since I returned to the boards from my AMericorps absence its been no longer so)
